SORRY Coney Island Drive-Inn The Hernando County design celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the landmark Coney Island Drive-Inn. The original artist of the ornament depiction is unknown. First opened in July of 1970, Coney Island has a unique and storied history. It is reported that Elvis Presley visited, and the venue has also been featured in several movies. Throughout its legendary history, the restaurant has been owned by the Todd, Rice, and Collins families prior to being purchased by current owners, the Hensley family, in 2006. The traditions are held strong and the story of Coney Island Drive-Inn continues to add chapters. A limited number of the ornaments will be signed and numbered by Mr. Blair Hensley, current owner. Signed and numbered ornaments are $15.00 each plus tax, and unsigned are $10.00 plus tax. |
